The Lima Town and VillageBoards will hold a join t meeting of said Boards on

Tuesday, February 10th, 2026 at 6:30 pm, at the Lima Town Hall.

This meeting is open to the public. At said meeting, each of the Boards will be authorized to conduct any and all business.

VILLAGE OF LIMA

 

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that there has been presented to the Board of Trustees of the Village of Lima, a local law (#1 of 2026), Amending Chapter of the Village of Lima Code to Allow for Abatement of Violations. 

 

THEREFORE, pursuant to statute, the Board of Trustees of the Village of Lima will hold a Public Hearing on the proposed local law on Tuesday, February 10th, 2026 at 7:00pm at the Lima Town Hall, 7329 E. Main Street, Lima, New York, 14485, at which time all persons interested will be heard. Copies of the proposed local law can be obtained and reviewed at the Village Office.

​​STATEMENT FROM THE VILLAGE OF LIMA TRUSTEES

​

The Village Board met in executive session on October 14, 2025, to address a personnel matter involving a volunteer member of the Village Ambulance Service. Following review and consultation with counsel, the Board determined that the individual’s conduct, which included threatening remarks made during a public meeting, was inconsistent with the standards of behavior expected of Village personnel. The individual’s volunteer service has therefore been terminated, effective immediately.  The decision was based solely on conduct inconsistent with Village standards of professionalism and safety. The Board appreciates the ongoing dedication of the many volunteers who continue to serve our residents with integrity and commitment.

​Warning: Do Not Flush Wipes

​

With the increased use of disinfecting wipes, the Village Board would like to remind residents that no type of wipe should be flushed down the toilet, even those advertised as flush-able. Flushing wipes down the toilet greatly increases the chance of  blockages forming in the sewer pipes that could cause sewage to backup into buildings.
